Our Mission
Entrepreneurs, financiers and executives need lawyers who think like a practical business person and can skillfully advise on choices and consequences, draft a contract or close a deal. They need an advisor to help develop a long-term relationship and solve those problems that are difficult to discuss objectively with business associates. At Bierce & Kenerson, P.C., our goal is to satisfy these needs for every client on every assignment. We strive to approach each matter creatively, efficiently, carefully and at a reasonable cost.
Experience
At Bierce & Kenerson, P.C., our attorneys have had large-firm experience and have broken free of the golden handcuffs, the culture, the persistent risk of conflicts of interest, and internal dynamics of the big law firms. Some have worked in the law departments of major corporations. We prefer the independence and professional satisfaction of a smaller boutique law firm. This allows us to cater to emerging growth and middle market companies for general corporate work. This also allows us to pursue a niche in managed services, outsourcing and compliance support services to executives (and C level officers in law, compliance, risk management and procurement) in large middle market companies, both public and private.
Reasonable Fees
Free from the costly bureaucracies and human pyramids of larger law firms, our fees are typically half of those of the large and mid-sized law firms. We work on reasonable hourly rates of seasoned attorneys. For well-defined projects of limited scope and duration involving only our client and us, we may work on a fixed fee basis.
Personal attention
While we typically work as a team, we understand that most clients hire an attorney, not a law firm. Every client will have consistent and direct contact with the principal attorney on their matter. We do not pass work on to junior colleagues without your consent and do not train associates at your expense. All of our attorneys apply a rapid telephone callback rule for clients. Because of this personal attention from senior attorneys, we have developed a strong reputation for timely solving of challenging problems, calmly facilitating resolutions of conflicting interests by avoiding litigation or, or at least, preparing for dispute resolution from a position of strength.
